聖荷西台美基督長老教會簡介 

1982年,幾個台灣家庭在蔡凱堂牧師帶領下,借用聖荷西市區一間美國教會做下午禮拜.1983年遷至Meridian加爾文教會,由謝慶雄牧師接續帶領,並將教會命名為”聖荷西台美基督教會”,以向灣區台語族群傳福音為主旨.1987年教會再度遷至Homestead上的第一長老教會,成為隸屬美國長老教會(PCUSA)的開拓教會,並聘蔡篤真牧師為第一任牧師.1991年,會員人數逐漸增加,本會成為正式教會.

蔡牧師於2000年六月離職.本會主日講台承蒙彎區多位牧者協助,使會眾繼續得到豐富信息及靈糧.

感謝上帝恩典,今年2003年,敦聘趙清隆牧師為本會第二任牧師.目前教會座落在12850 Saratoga Ave.的Westhope Church,會員人數約 130人.除了台語,英語主日崇拜,教會活動包括兒童主日學,成人主日學,團契聚會,以及對台灣鄉親及社區的服務.

      A History of TAPC

In 1982,some Taiwanese families used a facility downtown San Jose to worship God under the direction of Rev.K.T.Tsai.In 1983,with the leadership of Rev. Stephen Hsieh, they moved to the Meridian Calvin Church and named the church “San Jose Taiwanese-American Christian Church.”The purpose was to spread the gospel to the Taiwanese community. In 1987,the church moved to Homestead First Presbyterian Church, where it was registered with the The Presbyterian Church U.S.A. Rev. Andrew Tsai served as the first term pastor. In 1991,as the members grew gradually,the church was formally established.

Although Rev.Andrew Tsai resigned in June 2000,many pastors Supported the church and the congregation never ceased to hear God’s word. In January 2003, with God’s blessing, Rev.Raymond Chao became the church’s 2^nd term pastor. TAPC is currently Located at 12850 Saratoga Ave.The membership is approximately 130 people. Aside from our regular Taiwanese and English wor-ship services, the church activities include Children’s Sun-day School, Adult School,Fellowship,and service to the Taiwanese community.
